Social Media Fact-Checking and Account Bans Could Be Slippery Slope to Censorship

One good thing about the United States of America until just lately was that the First Amendment still carried a lot of weight.  Yes, the mainstream media can bend the narrative whichever way the agenda calls for, but still, there was not full censorship.  Now, in the aftermath of the tumultuous 2020 presidential election and the riots at the Capitol, the game is changing fast.

The problem with fact-checkers is who decides which facts they check against.

This all really reached a head after the riots on Wednesday with social media platforms Facebook and Twitter permanently banning Donald Trump’s accounts.  This comes after an election season of selectively controlling what can and cannot be posted by average folks through the advent of the “independent” fact-checker.

The problem with “fact-checkers” is that they are deciding what is fact and what is not.  An authentic fact-checker would be making decisions based solely on fact.  For example, if I told you right now that it rained yesterday, and it did not rain yesterday, well the fact-checker could step in and call me a liar.  The problem is that is not what they are doing.  They are checking the so-called facts against opinions, and that is creating quite a storm brewing in America.

Sure, we can probably all agree that even before all out chaos took over, Donald Trump’s Twitter account was not a very positive thing.  Still, what we have done here is we have ceded so much power to tech social media firms that we are encountering what is protected government censorship.

Sure, Twitter is a private company, and they can ban his account or anyone else’s as they so choose.  But when these companies become so powerful and then the constant collaboration with the mainstream media to push whatever agenda they want to push, it basically starts to smell a lot like censorship.

One of the reasons Twitter listed for finally, after all of this that went on the last four years, banning Trump’s account was that there was a fear he would incite more violence.  Well, this is not a defense of Trump.  Did he know he was firing up the crowd?  Sure.  Did he technically tell them to do any of those things that they did?  Not at all.  Get the transcript.  He told them to go to the Capitol and rally on the brave Congressmen.  Okay, maybe they took it a little too literal, but still, if you’re going full-on court of law legal definition here, no he didn’t do it.  But if you are going to say that it was inferred, then the mainstream media has to take some responsibility also.

The mainstream media has beat people over the head ever since the election that any questioning of the official account of things is ludicrous.  There is no evidence, they say over and over again.  Trump’s claims are baseless.  Well, there’s a lot of folks in America that think that is a matter of debate, and it is the media itself that is inciting them.

There have been hundreds of sworn affidavits under penalty of perjury signed by people that said they saw some funny business happen at the polls.  Was this investigated?  Nope.  No court would even listen to it.  Now, is it probably all baloney that was not going to make that much difference?  Yeah, probably.  But when you have millions of people that don’t think they got a fair shake, it might have been a better idea on the media’s part to you know, give them a fair shake.

Remember, the other side just spent almost four full years investigating the Russia collusion theory, and when that was over, you could, if you wanted to ignore it, keep saying it was baseless and unfounded.

Why not take a look?  Appoint a commission.  Promise to look into it.  Act concerned.

CNN even had to shut down the death ticker for the riot news.

Instead, the mainstream media acted like they didn’t know anything about it, and time after time they said those magic words, drilling them into the heads of the people that latched onto it because that is what they wanted to hear and those that latched onto it because they were really, really mad.

Make no mistake here.  Did Donald Trump incite a mob?  Yeah, he enjoyed every minute of it.  But he had help.  The mainstream media and the establishment loved every second of it, and they are still loving every second of it days later.

CNN was to impressed with the riots at the capitol that it has still not went back to it’s full-on COVID-19 apocalyptic coverage.  Trump is bad trumps Americans dying any day of the week.

The How hard did aging hit you challenge conspiracy — photo update time?

Anytime there is a viral anything on the Internet, we here at Common Sense Conspiracy can expect a few emails or messages about whether there is some sort of conspiracy involved. After all, people in conspiracy circles can be a tad bit paranoid at times, and when they see almost everyone biting on something hard, they start to wonder just what it all means in the big picture.

There have been dozens of these over the years. Remember the cinnamon challenge? The ice bucket challenge? That weird dress where everyone just had to let you know what color they see it as. Yes, the list goes on and on. For 2019, we are starting out with something called “The How Hard Did Aging Hit You Challenge.”

It’s catching fire on social media as we speak, and no doubt within hours, you are going to see tons of friends, co-workers and relatives taking to Facebook or their social media drug of choice to post before-and-after style pictures of them several years ago versus now. Like most of these challenges, you can look high and low, but you will never figure out just where this started. Viral things on the Internet are almost always like that. It just takes off and no one really knows whose brainchild they are partaking in. So, many of our loyal readers suggest that maybe it all starts with your favorite uncle — Uncle Sam. That’s right, a lot of people think the How Hard Did Aging Hit You Challenge may have been sanctioned by the government.

But why? What possibly could be the reason for the government to want to start a movement like this? That’s an easy one. See, facial recognition is all the rage in the cyber-security world these days. Turn on any of your favorite CSI-style shows and you’ll see FBI or other agencies using cameras everywhere to scan faces and see who is going where in seconds.

The real world is not as easy. Yes, they have the technology. We know that just by looking around. Facebook has long identified faces and put them with names, albeit with help from their amazing base of users. No doubt the NSA, FBI, and CIA are using facial recognition more and more as the years go by. However, did you ever think about how these databases get populated?

Driver license photographs and mugshots when someone finds themselves on the wrong side of the law are a big chunk of it, no doubt. These standard kind of photographs don’t work that well for facial recognition though. How many times out in the subway are you posing exactly like your driver license picture, or worse yet, your mugshot from a night that turned wrong? We’re guessing not that many. And these don’t get updated for years at a time if they get updated at all.

So, how do you keep a vast database for facial recognition updated all the time? You scour places where people like to put pictures of themselves. Over and over again. Over periods of years. You scour Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, the web for blog pages, high school yearbooks, you name it. The selfie movement helped the government out big time, but how could you make it catch fire again and get everyone to willingly provide you with some pictures showing how they have aged over the years? They even enjoy it. They laugh about it and pass it around to their friends and family.

Is the How Hard Did Aging Hit You Challenge a massive conspiracy? We can’t know for sure. Think about this though. Even if the government had absolutely nothing to do with this viral challenge and it was all the brainchild of someone completely innocent who just thought it was interesting to get people to post pictures of themselves in the past and now, can you imagine for one second that someone in the government hasn’t at the very least thought this a fortuitous turn of events?

It may not be a conspiracy and it may be. The outcome is the same. There is a 100% chance that the government is watching this challenge and using it to increase the accuracy of its facial recognition software. Will you be a willing participant or will you resist the viral movement?

Young OUtspoken conservative writer dies at just 26 years of age

The sudden and tragic death of Bre Payton, an outspoken conservative personality, at the tender age of just 26 years has many out there questioning the official story. That story is that she was admitted to the hospital with a strain of the swine flu and died quickly and without warning.

No one likes to think that someone so young could just die in a manner such as this, so when it happens it is bound to create some questions. While law enforcement has made no mention of anything suspicious in Bre’s death at all, the questions will continue to be passed around.

The bottom line is that this appears to be a terrible tragedy, and while there are probably people out there on the conservative side of the political fence who might want to say that she was killed somehow to silence her, the reality is that none of us are promised to live out our days in peace, and we should all take a long look at our own lives and make sure that events like this encourage us to live each moment to the fullest.

Having said all of that, Common Sense Conspiracy will continue to monitor the information about Bre’s untimely death and if anything comes up that does start to look suspicious, we will be delving into this in more detail. Please, as always, leave your thoughts in the comments below. If you think we are off base on our interpretation here, then steer us in the right direction. Thanks for reading.

YANNIE VS LAUREL — AUDIOPHILES TAKE OVER INTERNET

The debate is on and it is raging all across the Internet and all forms of social media. We’re talking Instagram, Twitter, Reddit, message boards, Facebook, you name it. Everyone wants to talk about what everyone thought was obvious. Is the audio clip saying Yannie or Laurel? We at Common Sense Conspiracy have a more pressing question. Who the hell cares?
Much like dresses and shoes in the past, this current fad is like the audio version of those Internet sensations. Basically, everyone has a different mind with different perception built into it, and this causes your mind to either construct Yannie or Laurel out of what you hear in this weird audio clip. In case you were wondering, the clip is from an online vocabulary site that pronounces words to help with learning. That’s how all of this got started because a youngster was studying and people in the same room heard different things at the same time, prompting him to investigate further and start a full-on viral Internet assault.
Audiophiles are now coming out in force to shed light on the mystery. We have people talking about decibels and frequency readings and all sorts of manipulations usually left to music studios in an attempt to explain the mystery. The thing is, there is no mystery, no conspiracy. People hear different things. Everyone has completely destroyed some song lyrics while the person next to him heard it crystal clear as intended. It’s not that crazy and it’s not that unusual. It does, however, make a lot of money in ad revenue for someone out there.

The following videos outline some stabs at conspiracy theories here that we have been pointed toward. Obviously, we don’t give them a lot of cred, but it’s fun nonetheless.

The real question here is not what you hear, but how do you spell it? Yannie? Yanni? Yanny? Now there’s something we can sink our teeth into.

Beyonce Becomes Official Illuminati Mother at 2017 Grammy Awards Performance

Beyonce’s pregnant performance at the 2017 Grammy Awards lived up to what any good conspiracy theorist might have hoped for. Channeling everything from Illuminati symbolism to an almost dead-on reenactment of the story of Jesus Christ from a woman’s perspective, it was all here and is prime for analysis. Our friends on the Internet were quick to point out the performance which may be her most controversial yet. And that is saying a lot, folks.

What did you think of Beyonce’s performance? Is this the big finish to her evolution to the grand Illuminati priestess of all time? Or just another artist trying to look cool?

Carrie Fisher Dead at 60 — The Illuminati’s Final Act For 2016?

In conspiracy circles, anytime a major celebrity figure passes away there will be some speculation about the nature of the death and the potential of Illuminati involvement. Under ordinary circumstances, the death of Star Wars s actress Carrie Fisher may not be any real reason for concern. It’s well known that she had a major heart attack, and she is not the kind of celebrity that would normally be associated with the Occult. But coming in the heels of the death of George Michael and a year full of high-profile celebrity deaths, some discussion is expected and warranted.
The two major competing theories at this point are that Fisher was yet another Illuminati blood sacrifice, perhaps because some feel that she crossed Harrison Ford, or that her death is just in time to help drum up extra publicity for a forthcoming Star Wars film that she supposedly has already filmed her parts for.
While a simple heart attack tragedy is far and away the most likely explanation here, it never hurts to have an open discussion about these things. What do you think? Is there more to the story? We want to hear your thoughts in the comments below.

The Government’s War on Fake News is a War on You

They are laying it on pretty thick.  In the wake of Donald Trump’s unlikely Presidential victory, the opposing party is pulling out all the stops to try to discredit his election win and explain it away.  Now, Common Sense Conspiracy is not a political site, and we have frequently explained our one-party two-party system theory about the American government.  However, in a case like this, it’s important for our readers to realize that while it looks like partisan politics playing out in a high stakes game, the loser and target is always you and I.  This situation is no exception.

The new battle cry against fake news seems like a turning point.  We all see the conservative and liberal versions of extremist news sources on our social media feeds and in our email.  It’s true that both sides are “liberal” with the facts, and in many cases, it is just spreading incorrect propaganda to forward an agenda.  However, when President Obama and company say they are going after “fake news” that is not what they mean.  Fake news to them is anything that directly takes on their narrative.  Fake news, according to the likes of Obama and Hillary Clinton, would be sites like this one.  Any site that doesn’t go along with their absurd official story and tries to inject facts into the equation will qualify as fake news in a heartbeat.

That’s what is so sinister about what they are doing here.  It’s calculated.  It may seem like it’s about Trump, or just sour grapes from sore losers of a hotly contested election.  But it’s just the beginning.  They will start by targeting the extreme news sources we referenced earlier, but soon, they will expand it out to include sites like this and any other site out there that is presenting a fact-based approach to their disinformation campaigns.

You have to look at what the other hand is doing.  It’s like a sleight-of-hand trick they are playing right in your face.  They make you think one thing, and it is a reasonable one that makes a lot of sense.  Meanwhile, the other hand is up to something much more sinister.  The only thing you can always count on in their schemes is that the loser is always going to be you.

Fake news is bad.  But the biggest proponent of fake news in America is the mainstream media.  That alone should prove that their intentions are less than honorable.
