Prison guards in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil have apprehended a white cat attempting to break into the prison. The cat had a care package; a saw and a mobile phone were wrapped around the cat’s body with tape. There was also drill bits, an earphone, a memory card, batteries, and a phone charger. This cat was ready for all situations for sure.
A full investigation was opened into the incident and prison authorities indicated that since there were no leads, all 263 prisoners were considered to be suspects. After a careful interrogation, the cat was turned over to animal control to receive medical care.
“It’s tough to find out who’s responsible for the action as the cat doesn’t speak,” a prison spokesperson told the local paper.
It is not clear whether any torture techniques were used in trying to coerce the cat into giving up its information. Maybe that’s why it needed medical care after the incident. The cat appears to be part of a special delta force of felines that are highly trained in these situations. The cat absolutely refused to turn over any information to authorities, or to explain how it managed to wrap itself in tape to attempt to smuggle in the items. It was also not clear if the cat had purchased the mobile phone locally or abroad and whether the cat ditched a laptop along the way.
