Sylvester Stallone’s Son, Sage, Found Dead at 36 Years of Age

Was it suicide or just an accidental overdose?

Even as Sylvester Stallone was enjoying a career resurgence with his highly successful Expendables movies, tragedy has struck.  Sage Moonblood Stallone, Sylvester’s eldest son at the young age of 36 years, was found dead in his Hollywood Apartment today.  The Los Angeles Police Department has said that there is no reason to think that his death was a result of criminal activity.  The word out there is that the final cause of death will be an overdose of pills of some sort.

Sage co-starred with his father famously in RockyV, although many, including Stallone himself, felt that the sequel was ill-advised.  He also was in his father’s film Daylight before giving up acting to pursue a career in directing and producing.  He successfully started his own production company, Grindhouse Releasing.  Sage passed up the chance to play Rocky Balboa’s son in Rocky Balboa to keep on with his directorial efforts.

Stallone has not commented on his son’s death yet.  He was a feature attraction just a day earlier at Comic-Con in San Diego where he was promoting his new film, a sequel to The Expendables.  No doubt Stallone is dealing with this tragedy in his own way, and Common Sense Conspiracy gives our condolences.  We will monitor the story as more details come to light.
