Miss USA Pageant Rigged — Miss Pennsylvania Resigns Amid Controversy Over Transgender Contestants

Miss Pennsylvania was all set to be "Miss USA," but she gave it all up to stand up for what she believes. But which version of the story is the truth?

Miss Pennsylvania Sheena Monnin has resigned her crown amid alot of controversy. You see, Monnin claims that the Miss USA pageant is rigged. That sounds like a bold claim, doesn’t it? Monnin posted all of this on Facebook. Well, she claims another contestant saw a list of the top 5 contenders on Sunday morning, hours before the show was to air. According to Monnin, the names on the list were the same contestants named on the show and thus she decided to resign her crown. The story gets interesting because the “other” contestant who saw the list has now recanted her story. But the organizers of the pageant paint a different picture.

The pageant orgainzers claim that Monnin sent them a text message citing her reason for resigning as the entry of natural born males into the contest. That’s right, she doesn’t like competing against the boys. You see, the pageant organizers allow transgender contestants, and that decision has caused alot of controversy as well. Donald Trump recently overturned a decision to keep a transgender contestant out of the Miss Universe Canada pageant. Trump, who runs the Miss Universe Organization, has dismissed the claims of the pageant that the entry of transgender contestants is the reason for Monnin’s resignation. Trump has also stated that the pageant plans to sue Monnin for her false claims that the contest is rigged.

The question is, who do you believe? The pageant organizers or Sheena Monnin.
