Earthquakes Heating Up Again — Bulgaria Struck by 5.8-Magnitude Quake

Two fairly strong earthquakes in Europe in three days. Harbinger of things to come?

On the heels of a 6.0-magnitude quake that struck Italy two days ago, killing six people and causing serious damage, another similar quake has struck the nation of Bulgaria.  This quake was a 5.8 magnitude.  Fortunately, no one lost their life in this one, and so far no serious damage has been reported.  It did cause quite a scare for the Bulgarian people.  It struck during the night while most of the residents were sleeping.  People reported the buildings swaying.

It seems that after a small lull on the earthquake scene, things are picking up again.  For whatever reason, there seems to be a pattern that when you hear about one of these, you always hear about two or three more within a certain amount of time.  There is no particular conspiracy theory to coincide with these quakes.  Even the craziest threads are pretty much leaving this alone for now, although there is always a couple of references to the rare solar eclipse that happened this weekend having something to do with it.  For the record, a solar eclipse is only a visual event…it has no effect on anything that would cause or influence earthquakes.
