Chernobyl — Aftermath Of A Nuclear Meltdown

April 26, 1986. That is the day that Reactor #4 at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant near the town of Pripyat, Ukraine exploded. A movie was just released called Chernobyl Diaries. It details what is called extreme tourism. That movie proves that Chernobyl is still a big deal. This footage from Chernobyl is very chilling and should serve as a reminder to the rest of the world what could happen. This video should be used to educate our young so this event will not be forgotten. Remember when some teenagers didn’t know that the Titanic was real? This video should be used to make sure that Chernobyl doesn’t fall into that category. On a side note, it was Reactor #4 that exploded at Chernobyl. Isn’t it Reactor #4 at Fukushima that has the whole world holding its breath. While Chernobyl may have been a single reactor meltdown, Fukushima was 4 reactors that melted down. And now after all these years it seems that the world is back in the same position. It’s funny how history has a way of repeating itself.
