A Closer Look At Fukushima And Chernobyl

The nuclear disasters of Fukushima and Chernobyl will have long lasting effects on both Ukraine and Japan for a long time. This video shows footage of both Fukushima and Chernobyl. It shows before and after the nuclear disasters. One chilling scene is where both the reporter and a man who survived Chernobyl were using Geiger counters on the suits worn by the firefighters that were at Chernobyl. Even 25 to 26 years later, the suits were still highly radioactive to which the reporter replies, ‘I think we should go.’ Footage is also shown of some Fukushima refugees and how they are having to live. This video is definitely an eye-opener for just how bad both of these nuclear disasters are. When will the countries of the world band together to try to solve these disasters?

  1. By using newer reactor designs that are design for where they are built, not for the prefect place to put the (though Fukushima did pretty well considering it was designed for central USA).
