Back in February, Common Sense Conspiracy reported on a man that suffered a heart attack while ingesting the now infamous “Triple-Bypass Burger” from the Heart Attack Grill restaurant in Las Vegas. You can see an actual video of the incident at our article Man Suffers Heart Attack While Eating at the Heart Attack Grill. The incident made national headlines, mainly because of the irony, but the fact is that the Heart Attack Grill actually caters to those that seek anything but a healthy lifestyle. In addition to the heart-stopping menu items that are mostly named after medical terms surrounding heart problems, the restaurant also offers a butterfat milkshake and cigarettes with no filters for tough guy. There is a small warning at the door that there is a health risk involved with the fare served here, and the waitresses are dressed as nurses throughout the dining experience. The company even had a 600-pound spokesman that died when he was just 29.
Now, the Heart Attack Grills line of “bypass” burgers have claimed another victim. A woman this time collapsed after eating the “double bypass burger.” She was also enjoying a margarita while smoking cigarettes. The woman is recovering in the hospital, according to the Heart Attack Grill’s owner. Jon Basso claims that he has eaten a single bypass burger from the restaurant every day since the restaurant opened. That was seven years back.
While people make the choice, two incidents like this in such close proximity does make you wonder if they shouldn’t take more precautions. After all, this is a place that actually offers free meals to anyone weighing over 350 pounds.
