Earlier today, a Jet Blue pilot caused a “disturbance” on a flight to Las Vegas. Apparently Clayton Obson, a 12-year pilot there, was the captain of the flight, but something happened along the way, and he found himself locked outside the cockpit. He started banging on the door aggressively, and passengers, no doubt with the events of September 11, 2001 on their mind, promptly subdued him. Passengers realized he was the captain, but for some reason, the co-pilot locked him out of the cockpit, so passengers continued to restrain him until the flight could make an emergency landing in Texas. JetBlue has said that there was a “medical situation” but won’t give away anymore information. The pilot has been suspended from all active duty pending investigation by not only the airline, but the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The CEO of JetBlue said there was no reason to believe that anything was wrong with Obson prior to takeoff.
Okay, guys, so that’s the story, but here’s where it gets really interesting. Radio host Carson Daly weighed in on the events of this flight, apparently as it was happening, and made a startling commentary that implied…well actually outright said… that if gay people had been on the flight, they never would have succeeded in restraining the rogue pilot. In fact, he said if it was him, the flight would have been on the way to a gay pride parade and no one would have lifted a finger. Already, the comments are rising into a firestorm as Carson Daly, a.k.a. Ryan Seacrest-wannabe, is receiving plenty of “love” from the gay community. Common Sense Conspiracy was lucky enough to get hold of an audio recording of the comments. Please click below to hear Carson Daly’s account of what would happen if gay people were on this flight below…and as always, please weigh in with your opinions.
