A 5.2-magnitude earthquake rumbled eastern Turkey early Monday morning, only adding to the chaos and devastation this country has suffered of late. Last month’s 7.2-magnitude quake flattened over 2,000 buildings. The people are hurting in Turkey, and there has not been a lot of international response.
There is no reason to connect this earthquake event to the comet Elenin or any other celestial body. However, the frequency and severity of these earthquakes is certainly disturbing.
