It is a frequent topic in conspiracy circles these days. There are any number of theories about the terrible rash of mass shootings that has plagued our nation for the last several years. Depending on what source you go to you may find a completely different story. There will be one so-called expert insisting that school shootings are no more prevalent today than at any point in history. Others insist that this is just the new normal and we must accept this as part of our day-to-day life. Some believe it calls for desperate measures, like requiring armed guards in schools or taking guns away from the populace altogether. But in conspiracy circles, the prevailing theory is that these shootings are part of a greater agenda. This could be gun control or something else entirely, but many people feel that not this many people are simply going nuts. Stories like that of the Aurora shooting leave many holes in the stories. Some people believe that the atrocity in Sandy Hook never even happened. Unfortunately, our government doesn’t exactly work hard to dispel such theories, which increases the paranoia.
