Sinkholes are in the news every day it seems like now. And we’re not talking about potholes that mess up your car’s front end alignment. We’re talking monster sinkholes that are actually swallowing up buildings. The video below is the latest example, and it’s one that is getting a lot of attention. It’s only natural that when one of these happens at a major tourist destination, there is much more fascination and curiosity. After all, a huge hole in the middle of a cornfield in Kansas just doesn’t have the kind of appeal that the mainstream media is after. And yet, both should be equally as troubling.
What is causing this sudden sinkhole problem? Is this the Earth going through a cycle, or is man’s drilling and fracking taking its toll on the Earth’s delicate crust?
