African American Man Forcefully Arrested for Drinking Arizona Ice Tea? Racist, Abuse of Power, or Silliness?

Well, after looking into this one that got suggested to us by a loyal reader, we had to say…it’s too close to call.  So, we’re putting it up to our readers to decide.  This is an interesting case.  A black man is drinking Arizona Ice Tea outside an ABC liquor store.  A cop (at least the said he was and he had handcuffs) wants to examine his drink, apparently thinking alcohol is in it.  Chaos ensues.  Eventually, the black man ends up on the ground in one of the silliest COPS-like sequences we’ve seen.

Everything you can think of has been said about this video.  Some say it’s an obvious case of a racist cop.  Others say it’s just a cop on a power trip.  Still, others say why couldn’t he just be civil about it, let the cop sniff his drink, and be on his way?

We at Common Sense Conspiracy say that the video obviously presents the situation one way.  However, we still when it is all said and done don’t know whether there was alcohol in the can.  But would it justify the whole situation if it did?  Or didn’t?

You be the judge, America.

  1. Unless I missed it somewhere, I’d be interested in knowin which state this happened in.

By-story: My grandson (10) loves baseball. My daughter and her husband took him to see ’42’. He enjoyed the movie, but the first thing he said when it was over was “What’s a n****”? I do realize that was an important part of the movie but we never saw it coming. Why perpetuate these labels?
