Yes, believe it or not, a tech firm has developed a real, shooting firearm that is made from special 3-dimensional printing technology that is really expensive and on the cutting edge. However, the firm was so proud of the creation that they decided to share it on the Internet to anyone that might like to download the blueprints. Despite the fact that the technology required to actually create the gun, even with the blueprint readily available, makes it practically impossible, the United States government did not take kindly to the divulgence of “state secrets” and tried to quash it. However, sites like Pirate Bay still have the 3D gun online and are showing no signs of taking it down. So, do you think the government has the right to try to keep this from circulating?
