Mexico City May Be on the Verge of Total Devastation, but No Media Coverage — Popocatépetl Volcano Rumbles

Popocatépetl looks beautiful and serene, but lately it has been very restless.

Popocatépetl is the name of the volcano in Mexico considered by many experts to be the most dangerous one in the world.  It has not had a major eruption since 1947, but lately, it has been showing signs of growing activity.  In April, it shot a beam of ash that caused flights to be suspended.  Now, more activity is causing Mexican authorities to consider an evacuation of the area, which would include Mexico City.  Despite the possible of a major catastrophe, American media has been completely silent, with Americans only finding out about the volcano by searching for it or through BBC news sources.  Why the media blackout on what could be an unimaginable tragedy? The video below shows the eruption back in April that really got everyone worried.
