Russia Today Banned by YouTube

Early Sunday morning, March 18, 2012, YouTube banned Russia Today’s official YouTube channel for what it termed as violation of its policies.  As many of you know, the Russia Today site was a great resource for provocative news and a glimpse of how America and others are perceived in the world outside.  The channel didn’t stay banned for long.  A few hours later, Russia Today is back online in force.  We are waiting to see if YouTube or Russia Today will shed any light on what happened and whether this was a simple misunderstanding or an attempt at Internet censorship.
