Flooding is Bad Enough — Now Australians Have to Live With Thousands of Spiders

When a flood happens, we see what it causes above ground. However, there are grave repercussions below the ground as well. The waters saturate the soil, essentially flooding below the surface, forcing creatures that lurk in the deeps to head for higher ground just like everyone else. In Australia, a staggering number of spiders had to evacuate their usual dwellings after the flood, causing some incredible scenes. In one part of this video, the spider webs are so prolific on an Australian farm that it looks from a distance as if it were dusted in snow.
