Asteroid 2011AG5 Could Strike Earth In 2040

Asteroid 2011AG5 is a 460 foot asteroid that may be on a path to collide with Earth in 2040. Scientists determined this after only observing one half of a orbit. There is a 1 in 625 chance it will strike Earth. The asteroid will have to pass through a 62 mile wide “keyhole” in 2029 to maintain its path to Earth. Why does 2029 sound familiar? That’s when Asteroid Apophis will make its first attempt at striking Earth. Apophis is the asteroid that nobody is talking about and it will make another attempt in 2036.
