33 Whales Killed In New Zealand

A rescue team in New Zealand has tried to save a pod of beached whales. Of the 99 total whales, 33 had to be put down, 36 died naturally, 17 were successfully refloated back to sea, and 13 are unaccounted for. The 33 whales were shot because they were refloated and then swam back to shore and became beached again. Their condition became worse so the decision was made to put them down. This is a sad story but the rescue team did all they could.
