Eugenics — Victims of Forced Sterilization Speak Out and Await Justice

You may not know this, but in the 1960’s, many states in the United States had laws in place to force sterilization on people that fit in certain categories.  Many of these were orphans or people left in the care of the state.  There were a variety of reasons why they may have been classified as candidates for forced sterilization.  This video shows some of the real-life stories of people whose life was forever changed by the eugenics laws.  Many are elderly now and live a lonely life because their sterilization left them childless and made them less attractive to potential mates.  Even more disturbing is a movement to go back to these regulations in the wake of a society more and more concerned with the “population problem.”
